In The Witcher: Old World, you become a witcher — a professional monster slayer — and immerse yourself in the legendary universe of The Witcher franchise.

Set years before the saga of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: Old World explores a time when monsters roamed the Continent in greater numbers, creating a constant peril that required the attention of expertly trained monster slayers, known as witchers. Five competing schools trained their adepts through brutal regimes, and once fully prepared, these now-recognized witchers set off to explore the land, seeking trouble and adventures and helping others for coin.

In this competitive adventure board game, 2-5 players travel across a vast map, embarking on masterfully penned quests, encountering and making ambiguous moral choices, fighting monsters — and sometimes brawling with other witchers to defend their school's honor!

The game lets players construct their own unique decks of cards by choosing from a wide range of abilities: attacks, dodges, and witcher combat magic — known as "signs". Through card synergy, players aim to achieve powerful combos as they utilize their witcher school's hallmark abilities to their full potential. Quests, battles, and even dice poker allow each player to earn money, obtain new items, and train their skills.

The first player to acquire 4-6 trophies, with the number being set at the start of play, wins the game instantly. You can obtain trophies by killing monsters, instigating and winning chaotic tavern brawls against another witcher, training attributes to their highest level, and resolving certain quests throughout their adventure.

The game will include a Solo Mode that will allow for a solitaire adventure on the Continent.

Some Monsters are so powerful and fierce that they spread fear and destruction city after city. Killing such a dangerous beast would turn any witcher into a living legend. But not any witcher can accomplish such a daring task!

This expansion includes 7 huge miniatures, 7 monster Cards with other special tokens, and Cards. With that expansion there is a big monster moving through the Continent, sowing terror and destruction. Witchers train, hunt monsters, and strive to prepare for a final enemy. Killing a Legendary Monster is the only way to win the game.

Gameplay and components overview:

- Each of these Monsters is a huge miniature with a special, Large Monster Card that explains its unique abilities and attacks.
- There is also a set of 20 new Combat Cards, used only in the fight against a Legendary Monster.
- This Expansion contains a set of Legendary Hunt Cards that will move it around the map and give players the opportunity to gather information while preparing for the fight.
- Legendary Monster appears on the map from the beginning of the game, will move around the map, and leave destruction behind, represented by special Tokens. Witchers will be able to prepare for the final fight from the very beginning, but they also need to train and hunt other monsters.

Expansion compatibility:

- It works with standard game and basic solo mode.
- It doesn’t work with Wild Hunt, which already has boss miniatures that you choose from.
- It can be combined with all Modes from the Monster Trail.
- You can use Mages, Lost Mount, as well as Adventure Pack while adding Legendary Hunt.

Inhabited by different Clans, Islands on the Great Sea breed traders, warriors, and leaders. One might see the Islands as an opportunity for political connections, but a witcher or a mage would rather travel there to train, hunt monsters, and seek an adventure. It may be of great benefit to visit Skellige Islands, as well as other, unexplored ones, but such travels rarely come without a cost.
